Ketil Nordengen, leader of both 3M’s EMEA Sales and Norway operations, was duly appointed as Chair of AmCham’s renewed Board of Directors during last week’s virtual Annual General Meeting. Microsoft’s Kristine Beitland and KPMG’s Charlie Lea were also named as the Board’s First and Second Vice Chairs, respectively.

March 2021 AmCham Digitalization Forum: Pragmatism Prevails

Given ongoing US-Europe Privacy Shield negotiations, the virtual roundtable dialogue – which ranged from Covid-19 era concerns to the digital platform economy, GDPR, and Grindr – was particularly timely.

Rising Leaders participants and AmCham members were joined by Curt Rice of Oslo Metropolitan University for a virtual afterwork session.
Originally from Rochester, MI, Dr. Rice only intended to go to Norway for one year but ended up staying for the last 30 years and becoming the first non-Norwegian to be at the helm of an institution for higher education in Norway.

AmCham Mentorship Program: Season Finale & Starting Anew!

“The capability to rapidly change strategy” has been crucial for Benedikte Sørensen’s team during the pandemic. As Regional Sales Director at Radisson Hotel Group, Benedikte has responsibility for 16 hotels across the country. Hard booking data are what she and her team thrive upon these days, preferring to leave virtual teambuilding “fun stuff” exercises for later.

Joined by fellow Mentorship Program participants, representing a record 24 participating AmCham Patron member companies, Benedikte was the first leader to candidly present during the recent program finale.
