Visiting organic wine pioneer Bob Blue led the American Wine Club and AmCham members through an exclusive tasting of Bonterra Vineyards diverse range of organic and biodynamic wines. Founded in 1987, Bonterra is a rising star in the American wine industry and was named Wine Enthusiast magazine’s American Winery of the Year in 2016.

Cross-Industry Collaboration Gives AmCham Members a Competitive Edge

As Capgemini’s Country Manager for Norway, Jens Middborg, notes, the benefits for cross-industry collaborations are twofold. “On a broader level, it’s for the greater good. Norwegian Companies Fuel Growth in the American Heartland

Offering a combination of low living costs, business-friendly policies, top-notch universities, and a talented, highly innovative population, the American Heartland, a region comprised of states such as Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Ohio, has become an increasingly popular place to invest for a growing number of Norwegian companies.

One such company is DNV GL. The Oslo-based provider of risk management and quality assurance services to the maritime, oil and gas, healthcare, and power and renewables industries employs 145 people in two of Ohio’s largest cities, Cincinnati and Columbus.

Rising Leaders 2019-2020 Cycle Kickoff

AmCham and the U.S. Embassy welcomed 11 new members to the Rising Leaders Program August 20 and officially launched the 2019-2020 cycle of the program. Rising Leaders is an initiative of the US Embassy and AmCham to provide access for young, up-and-coming leaders from diverse backgrounds to high-level representatives of the established business community. Thirteen continuing members of the program also joined the 2019-2020 cycle kickoff event that was hosted at the US Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Richard Riley’s residence.
