US Pre-Clearance to Oslo Airport?

Category: Airline / Travel

Gardermoen may join Ireland’s Dublin and Shannon in the effort to shrink border queues in America.

While Abu Dhabi also has the system in place, Stockholm Arlanda is on the way to offering the system.

The UAE’s airport is expanding the facility, but Swedish authorities are still seeking US approval.

A total of 15 foreign airports in six countries currently offer the system. US authorities say they wish to expand the number of countries and airports this year.

Pre-clearance means that the same procedures regarding immigration, customs, and agriculture inspections of international air passengers can be completed before departure at foreign airports instead of on arrival, according to US officials.
