Norway to Fund Freshman Year on More than 200 Universities and Colleges in the United States

All of the eligible institutions are listed by the Association of Norwegian Students Abroad (ANSA).

The specification of funding freshman year at certain institutions of higher learning in the U.S. comes after the Norwegian government announced during fall 2013 that it would expand its support for students wishing to study in the U.S.

The new guidelines provide financial support to students at around 150 more universities and colleges in the United States than previously.

Placement on the list is based on institutions being ranked on three internationally-recognized lists:

 
The U.S. Embassy in Oslo very much welcomes the State Education Loan Fund’s decision to expand its financial support for Norwegian students wishing to study in the United States.
