Several AmCham companies discussed opportunities in the U.S. – Norway market at a December 7 Business Roundtable Event held at the Commerce Department in Washington, D.C.
The trade and investment unit of the U.S. Department of Commerce, the International Trade Administration, in cooperation with AmCham Norway, the Royal Norwegian Embassy and the Norwegian American Chamber of Commerce organized this roundtable designed for U.S. and Norwegian trade associations and companies to provide input into the U.S.-Norway Informal Exchange (aka the ICE Talks).
The U.S. – Norway ICE Talks, is a long running (over a decade old) bilateral government dialogue where U.S. and Norwegian Government officials take stock of bilateral commercial matters and later develop a work plan for the year.
The December 7, discussion in the presence of the Commerce Department’s Executive Director for Europe and Eurasia Skip Jones and the Norwegian Embassy’s Commercial Counselor Pål Somdalen, focused on a broad array of themes including copyright projection, commercial defense cooperation, smart cities, regulation, and investment—among other themes.
