Rising Leaders

Rising Leaders is an initiative of the Embassy of the United States of America and the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Norway to provide access for young, up-and-coming leaders from diverse backgrounds to high-level representatives of the established business community.  The initiative will hold quarterly events that will allow participants to engage business leaders, learn about AmCham member companies, and gain business and leadership skills.

Rising Leaders – 2018/19

The Embassy and AmCham have selected 22 participants for the 2018/19 cycle of the program.  The candidates are from diverse backgrounds, and have demonstrated leadership, entreprenurial, or business excellence in their educational pursuits or careers thus far.

Meetings and events will generally take the form of a one-hour discussion with AmCham member company leadership on a topic of interest to the group, followed by a networking event with invited guests.

The program starts a new cycle every August, with up to ten participants being replaced on the program each year.  Through this rotation, Rising Leaders will maintain continuity, relevance, and continued development – while also allowing new participants to take part.

Open applicants are always welcome and we will be looking to openly accept new applicants in June 2019. Please contact amcham@amcham.no for additional information.
