Roundtable on Innovation and Energy with GE’s Jeff Immelt

GE ranks as the 6th largest company in the United States with 300,000 employees worldwide and $147 billion in revenues. Mr. Immelt spoke about GE’s key priorities and opportunities within innovation and energy, and gave his perspectives on geopolitical issues and the political and economic situation in the United States.

Mr. Immelt is the chair of President Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, created to provide non-partisan advice to the President on continuing to strengthen the nation’s economy and ensure the competitiveness of the United States and on ways to create jobs, opportunity, and prosperity for the American people.

A dozen executives from leading Norwegian organizations participated in the roundtable discussion, including Statoil, Aker, UMOE, Scatec, Sargas, NHO, Norwegian Shipowners’ Association, Norwegian Research Council, BI Norwegian School of Business, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Norway. Leading executives from GE Measurement and Control, GE Energy, GE Oil and Gas, and GE Healthcare also participated.
