BI Alumni and the American Embassy has the pleasure of inviting AmCham members to an afternoon gathering on Monday, April 22nd entitled, Venture Capital and Start-ups in Israel and the United States:  A Conversation with Jonathan Medved

JONATHAN MEDVED is a leading high tech venture capitalist and the co-founder, director and chief executive officer of Vringo, an Israeli company that pioneered video ringtone sharing and next generation mobile personalization. Vringo enables users to share video ringtones each time they make a phone call. Before founding Vringo, Mr. Medved was the co-founder and general partner of Israel Seed Partners, which has $262 million under management in four funds and has been an investor in 60 leading Israeli high tech companies, including Shopping.com, Compugen and Answers.com. The New York Times named Mr. Medved one of the 10 most influential Americans who have impacted Israel. Born in California, Mr. Medved studied history at the University of California, Berkeley.

Mr. Medved will discuss his long-time experience as a venture capitalist and entrepreneur, while also addressing the potential for trilateral cooperation initiatives linking Norway, Israel and the United States, particularly in the technology sector.
